The Day Use area has a sandy beach, flush toilets, picnic tables, and plenty of parking. There is also a playground, volleyball court, and grassy field for soccer or frisbee in this area. The park store offers canoe, kayak, and paddle board rentals plus camping supplies, ice, firewood, groceries, and ice cream. Fitzroy also has two great hiking trails with interpretive brochures.
