what to expect

Young's Point Provincial Park is located on the northwest shore of Sturgeon Lake. It is just over 1 hour east of Grande Prairie on Hwy. 43 and 10 kms northeast on Range Road 251. This park has a beautiful lake to utilize all seasons of the year and just over 100 campsites to reserve during the operating season. Launch your boat and enjoy fishing, waterskiing, tubing or relaxing on the lake while watching the pelicans fly overhead. Pull out your ice shake in the winter months to test your luck with ice fishing. Explore over 10 kms of hiking or biking trails in the summer or strap on your cross country skis and enjoy the crisp winter air through the boreal forest. This park does not have a designated swim area but head on over to Bighorn Loop and enjoy a lovely green space with water access …
