what to expect

Nestled beside Steel Lake and surrounded by the beauty of the boreal forest, Cross Lake offers the perfect setting for outdoor adventure and relaxation. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, water-skiing, and power boating (with speed limits in place). Birdwatchers can delight in spotting a variety of species along the lakeshore and forest trails. Stay at the campground, which features powered sites with flush toilets and shower houses, or if you are feeling adventurous, boat or hike to George’s Point and stay the night. In winter, the park transforms into a snowy retreat, ideal for outdoor winter activities and ice fishing. Skiers can enjoy 7 kilometers of ungroomed cross-country ski trails.
